DiCaprio finds award 'surreal'
02/02/2005 - 12:10:29Hollywood heart-throb Leonardo DiCaprio is stunned to have received a lifetime achievement award - because he's only 30.
The Titanic star was presented the Platinum Award at the Santa Barbara, California's International Film Festival on Sunday, commemorating the event's 20th anniversary and recognising the actor's "exceptional career", according to festival director Roger Durling.
DiCaprio says: "It's a lifetime achievement award, which is completely and utterly surreal, given I'm only 30 years old.
"But, you know, what has it been? Almost 17 years now. I've done quite a few films. But what's really exciting, for me, is that this is what I really love doing. It's what I want to do for the rest of my life."
