Cast bolster romantic comedy

In need of a laugh? Try The Family Stone (Fox, 24.99) which features a half decent cast — Claire Danes, Diane Keaton and Sarah Jessica Parker, for example — in a light romantic comedy that hits most of the right spots.

When businessman Everett Stone (Dermot Mulroney) brings his girlfriend (Parker) home, the family fears a valuable heirloom, an engagement ring, is about to disappear into the wrong hands.

All isn’t what it seems, however, and the complications pile up. Worth a look.
