Brand: I still love Perry 'as a human'
Russell Brand has opened up to Ellen Degeneres about his split – saying he still loves Katy Perry “as a human being”.
The comedian appeared on Ellen’s US chat show and told her he was “all right” following the divorce.
He said: “I still love her as a human being but, sometimes, when you’re in a relationship, I suppose it doesn’t work out.
“That doesn’t mean I regret it or anything. I was very happy to be married to her. She’s such a beautiful human being and I just have only love and positivity for her.”
On a previous appearance on the show, Brand rubbished internet rumours that his marriage was in trouble.
"I’ve treated the whole internet now like it’s a wicked little liar", he said last year. "Yeah, I am really happily married."
