Arrest warrant issued for actor

Arrest warrants have been issued for actor Randy Quaid and his wife after they failed to appear for a court hearing.

The couple did not show up in a Santa Barbara criminal court yesterday on a charge that they defrauded an innkeeper.

The no-show will cost the couple $40,000 (€27,500) in forfeited bail.

Randy and Evi Quaid were arrested in September in West Texas after being accused of using an invalid credit card.

Randy Quaid is best-known for supporting roles in films such as 'Independence Day' and 'National Lampoon’s Vacation'.
