Allen cannot afford own home
04/03/2007 - 14:41:32British pop star Lily Allen is struggling with money and can't even afford to buy a basic one-bedroom flat in London.
The Smile hitmaker, 21, dismisses claims she has made fortunes from her burgeoning career, insisting high London property prices have left her homeless.
She says: "It's depressing to be young in Britain. Money is a massive issue.
"I've been doing what I do for a few years now and I've been paid pretty well for it, but even I'm not in a position to buy a one-bedroom flat in the city I grew up in.
"How much harder is it going to be for other people my age?"
