Alba: I'm an imperfect prude

Jessica Alba insists she's a "prude".

The 33-year-old actress may have first caught the attention of many playing stripper Nancy Callahan in 'Sin City' - a role she will reprise for the movie's sequel, 'A Dame to Kill For', later this year - but insists her on-screen sexiness is all an act.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly magazine - which she fronts, emerging from a swimming pool in a white bikini - Jessica says: "I never slept my way through Hollywood, so I never felt like I compromised.

"Apparently people do it. I didn't. I felt like I never compromised myself because I'm a prude. I don't know. I grew up Catholic. In my head I'm always thinking, 'Oh God, can my grandma see this?' "

Jessica - who started her film career aged 13 before getting her big break appearing on the remake of TV series 'Flipper' in 1995 - has daughters Honor, five, and Haven, two, with husband Cash Warren, which she says has changed her attitude to her diet and made her stop trying to be "perfect", as she wants to set a good example for her children.

She said: "As I've gotten older and after I became a mom, it became more of a priority to be healthy for the right reasons. It's more important to have a balanced approach instead of trying to be perfect."
