For many people getting to throw their cap in the air is the best part of their graduation day, however for one student in America it may be one she’ll want to forget.
Meagan Richards was celebrating her graduation from the University of Texas in Austin when she had a bit of a mishap with a graduation cap.
The student was filming fireworks at the end of graduation day, as she did so some students in front of her performed the traditional cap toss and unfortunately for Meagan she took one of them right into the face.

Don’t worry, she’s fine!
The video has proved very popular online, receiving over 17,000 retweets on Twitter.
Meagan told Buzzfeed that she never saw the cap coming.
“The cap ended up coming straight at me and my friend,” said Meagan.
“She saw it coming and dodged. I didn’t, and ended up getting hit in the face.”
Last week the University of East Anglia controversially banned the rite-of-passage for health and safety purposes under much criticism.
All they will need to do from now is pull up this video to explain their reasoning.
