A woman got stuck in a chimney over the weekend while reportedly trying to break into the house of a man she had met while online dating.
While it is still unclear what exactly she was trying to do, Genoveva Nunez-Figueroa, 30, became trapped after climbing onto the roof of the house in Ventura County, California.
The homeowner - who understandably didn't want to be identified - told KTLA that he had gone on six dates with Nunez-Figueroa before he broke it off.
"She seemed totally cool until the first flag was her actually being on my roof two weeks ago," he mused.
Isn't that always the way? You think everything is going fine - and then, boom, they're trapped in your chimney and firefighters are climbing onto your roof.

Firefighters worked for two hours to free Nunez-Figueroa - pouring dish soap and water down the flue and chipping away at the outside of the brick chimney. She was then lifted to safety, with her pride suffering the most injury.

She was then taken to hospital before being arrested on suspicion of illegally entering a residence and providing false information to a police officer.
The homeowner offered the following pearl of wisdom in light of the events on his roof.
“Before you have somebody come in your house really check them out … really give it some time before you let somebody in, because they might want to stay,” he told KTLA.
Words to live by.
