After recent stories in which their factory workers' conditions were once again questioned, Primark definitely needed some good news.
This lady kindly obliged by going into labour on the street just outside a Primark in Birmingham yesterday and giving birth to a baby girl.
The woman was on her own when labour started but passers-by gathered around to help the woman as an ambulance was called. Staff from Primark held up sheets and towels and a near-by doctor was on-hand to help deliver the baby girl on New Street.
The labour was said to have lasted under 10 minutes.
The crowd gathered nearby let out a cheer when the baby was born.
"People were saying ‘get back and let her breathe’. Loads of people were recording on their phone. When the baby popped out, everybody cheered," said onlooker John Baker to ITV News.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "It's a girl and she's doing fine. Mother and baby are both okay, and have been taken to City Hospital."
So a woman just gave birth to a baby girl outside of Primark in town #onlyinBirmingham
