What to do when your rubbish Christmas tree doesn't match your expectations

We all love Christmas and Christmas trees are definitely an important part of the overall package.

I mean, the bigger the tree, the more presents you can get underneath it, right?

Which may be one reason why a woman from England was not too impressed with her purchase from Argos.

Zoe McAllister, 22, posted a photo of the £18 Christmas tree she bought from the retailer in Oxfordshire onto Facebook, and let's just say it was so sad looking you had to laugh.

In her post, Zoe said: "EXPECTATIONS VS. REALITY!! I actually laughed at this 'tree' for about 15 minutes. Looks like I'm off to buy a new tree at the weekend."

It wasn't exactly what she had in mind for her 11-month-old daughter’s first Christmas.

Zoe shared the two pictures to Argos, saying: "I purchased the tree on the left from one of your stores. As you can see from my picture on the right it looks NOTHING like the advertisement on the box.

"I have a feeling half of my tree has been left in the factory? No amount of sprucing can fix this. Disappointed is an understatement."

Argos got back to her with a refund and a spokeswoman said: "As soon as we became aware of this issue we contacted Miss McAllister and offered her a full refund and a gesture of good will, which she has gladly accepted.

"Once again, we are very sorry for any inconvenience caused."

And it turns out she isn't the only one with spindly trees, there was a flurry of complaints about them on Argos' Facebook page.
