Labour UK election candidate Darren Jones was just about to appear on live TV last night when he started to feel unwell.
Jones was due to appear on the Made in Bristol programme to debate the issues in the Bristol North West constituency in the run up to next month’s UK general election.
After complaining of pins and needles, Jones can be seen stumbling towards to the audience before collapsing. Luckily audience members catch him on the way down.
Jones received some medical attention and the debate proceeded without him with just a nine minute delay.
The candidate believes the incident was brought on by a cold he’d picked up in the course of campaigning.
“My team and I have all been working really hard to make sure we return a Labour MP for Bristol North West that will fight for the things that really matter,” Jones told the Daily Mail.
“I managed to catch a cold in the process but wanted to make sure that Labour's vision for a better Britain was represented so I went to the studio anyway. Clearly this was unwise!”

Made in Bristol TV now plan to broadcast an interview with Jones tonight to make up for the fact he wasn’t involved in the debate.
