WATCH: Taoiseach reacts bizarrely to Mary Lou McDonald’s Budget speech

A long day in the Dáil seemed to take its toll on Taoiseach Enda Kenny yesterday.

Sinn Féin Deputy Leader Mary Lou McDonald was delivering her response to Budget 2016 when the camera panned towards the Taoiseach.

Kenny can then be seen making a rather strange punching gesture before the camera cuts back to McDonald.

If you can’t see the video, you can view it here.

McDonald felt that Budget 2016 was not kind enough to the lowest paid in society and was arguing that the Government had “no plan” for growth in the economy when the Taoiseach made the gesture.

You can still see Kenny’s gesture on the RTÉ Player if you skip to 02:00:53 on the link.
