VIDEO: This huge clap of thunder over Dublin is really scary

The recent hot spell has brought with it some unstable weather and outbreaks of heavy, thundery showers.

On Monday conditions across the country were particular favourable to spells of thunder and lightning.

YouTuber Duncan Sheppard was watching the lightning from his south Dublin home and it was followed by what he describes as a “monumental crash of thunder”.

Golly, that’s loud!

He wasn’t the only one filming the extreme weather on Monday, Martin McKenna was driving in Garvagh, Co Derry when his dashcam captured these two incredible bolts of lightening.
