Dads are great, but among the most important duties they have in life is the opening of really hard jars. And that was put to the test this week in Masterchef.
Over on Masterchef Brazil, dishes were being plated up and garnished for the judges with mere seconds to spare when - horror - a young lady couldn't open the jar of, er, red stuff.
Enter super dad.
After failing with the tried-and-tested method of wrapping a tea towel around the lid, and resorting to blind panic of scraping at it with a knife, her father calls out - and takes care of business, to an eruption of cheers from the assembled crowd.
Translators over on Reddit claim he called out "give it here, I'll open it". Even better, she went on to win the competition.

Which surely would not have happened without that jar of red stuff.
Thanks, Dad.
