What does a sea turtle see when he goes diving in the Great Barrier Reef?
Well, thanks to the folks at the Australian World Wildlife Fun, we know. They strapped a water-sealed GoPro to a sea turtle and sent it on an aquatic adventure.
The result shows us the famous reef like most humans will never see it, short of an expensive diving holiday expedition.
The Great Barrier Reef, which is home to almost 6000 species, is under constant threat from pollution and other artificial activity.
The camera was attached to the turtle as part of a large-scale project to learn more about their behaviour after released from the care of the WWF - it just so happens to be beautiful for the rest of us, too.
The video was released to coincide with a vote by the World Heritage Committee on "whether to keep a strong watch over Australia" on the condition of the Great Barrier Reef. WWF claims the decision is critical to the future protection of the Reef.
