Animal cruelty officials in Canada have launched an investigation after a video emerged online the week of a man jumping on and riding a wild moose.
The man, egged on by a group of friends, can be seen standing on the edge of a speedboat following the struggling moose as it traverses a lake. After that he brutally leaps onto the unsuspecting animal’s back.
He can then be seen riding the poor moose as one of his friends shout “I've never seen anything so awesome.”
Officials in the western Canadian province of British Columbia have said they believe the incident took place last July on Tuchodi Lakes in Northern Rocky Mountains Provincial Park.
Commenting on the video conservation officer with the British Columbian Ministry of the Environment, David Vince told CBC News the video is the “ultimate form of harassment”.
“You can see that the moose is struggling with that fellow on her back. You can see the fright in her eyes.”
Hopefully they catch the guys involved.
