VIDEO: Bored Swedish Marines lip-sync 'Greased Lightning' in Afghanistan
Soldiers know that life in the army can involve long periods of doing not very much at all, and the enemy can be boredom as much as the other guys with guns.
So what better way to ward off ennui than with a spirited rendition of 'Greased Lightning' from the 1978 classic 'Grease'.
Take it away, the fine upstanding members of Sweden's Marine Corps.
Even the top brass are chuffed with the now-viral clip
"It's a professional parody that was made during their free time,"spokesman Philip Simon told the Dagens Nyheter (DN) newspaper.
"This doesn't affect the trust in them in a negative way, on the contrary."
On the contrary indeed. As to their facial hair, that's another matter entirely…
