Miley Cyrus strikes again.

University removes sculpture as naked students re-enact 'Wrecking Ball'

Grand Valley State University has, for the last 18 years, had a sculpture outside the science building that looks like a large steel weight suspended from a steel cable.

Or, in other words, a wrecking ball.

Now that Miley Cyrus has released her infamous "Wrecking Ball" music video, in which she swings naked from the construction equipment, students have been following suit - and the university has pulled it down.

What kind of antics, you ask? Well, like this naked male student swinging on the ball (obviously NSFW, folks):

Or these two young ladies who need more hand-eye co-ordination:

The university claims it's not sure the sculpture can handle the extra weight. "We really do need to verify the structural integrity right now, and consider the safety ramifications and look whether there’s a better way to install it," the facilities manager told Michigan Live.

Of course, the students were distraught, but it's hard to keep young people down for long. So, naturally, they held a memorial for their much-loved wrecking ball. And not a cheeky naggin to be seen (turn the sound on):

Isn't that just lovely?
