Ireland's Marriage Equality Referendum may have inspired thousands and thousands of people to come home to vote, but it also inspired a global hashtag.
Newtalk.com has reported that #HomeToVote is to get a new home at Twitter headquarters in the US.
The campaign to get Irish exiles to return to Ireland to vote in the referendum saw the hashtag take over Twitter in the lead up to the May 22 polling day.
The phrase was tweeted 27,000 times in 24 hours, boiling down to around 97 tweets a minute.
Twitter's San Francisco headquarters is painting it on a wall of the building as a homage.
The head of Twitter in Ireland, Stephen McIntyre, said: "Once in a while we put a globally significant hashtag on our wall in San Fran HQ."
