Quinn Callander and Brayden Grozdanich are best friends. They are both seven years old, go the same school in British Columbia, Canada and they are in the Beaver Scouts together.
Brayden also has cerebral palsy, which tightens his muscles as he grows and he needs daily physiotherapy to relieve the pain. Quinn explains what it's like for Brayden:
"Brayden get’s daily physiotherapy to keep him walking. Sometimes it really hurts him. When I was at his physio, I tried to keep Brayden calm when he was in pain."
Brayden's family wanted to raise money for a pain-relieving surgery available only in the US. They were going to take out a loan but then Quinn come up with a better idea.
Quinn's parents helped him set up a fundraising page online with a target of $20,000. The pair made this adorable video explaining what they're doing and you can just tell that they're the best of friends.
To help raise funds and awareness of the cause, Brayden and Quinn set up a lemonade stand last Sunday outside a supermarket in their home town of Maple Ridge - wearing matching shirts that read: "When life hands you lemons... make lemonade."
Their campaign went viral and they have recieved widespread support. Incredibly, they have raised more than twice their original target - the total amount currently stands at a whopping €41,000 ($55,893).
So happily, Brayden will get his surgery in August and all the money raised will go to medical and travel expenses.
Quinn explained to CBC News why he wanted to start the campaign: "Because he's my friend and I want to be nice."
And if that doesn't warm your cold cynical heart, nothing will.
