Ladies and gentlemen, the bar has been raised for all marriage proposals.
John McParland has set the standard for men and women popping the million dollar question this Christmas with his egg-travagent set-up that egg-stracted the words he wanted to hear from his girlfriend Edel Hughes.
John, who is a free range egg supplier from Belleeks in Co Armagh created a very festive, original and unique way of asking his girlfriend to marry him.
Using eggs, John spelled out the words 'Will you marry me?' complete with tinsel decorations and a bottle of champers planted between a pair of strategically placed wellies that look like a heart.
Awh!
The happy couple featured on the Farmers Journal Facebook and Twitter page as well as on the Daily Edge.
