By Rob McNamara

Limerick city is bidding to become Europe's Capital of Culture in 2020 and an enormous amount of work has been done to redevelop the city in recent years.

The capital of the mid-west was Irish Capital of Culture in 2014 and the feelgood factor from those celebrations are still very much evident around Limerick with numerous videos being uploaded to Youtube documenting the event.

However, web developer and videographer Pavol Hlavac has captured some of the most stunning footage ever filmed of the city in this fantastic video.

He calls his project 'City in Motion' and all the landmarks - King John's Castle, St Mary's Cathedral, Thomond Park and the Clarion Building - are here.

You can see more of Pavol's work on his Facebook page here.
