Student skydiver is saved from 'death spin' by instructors

This is intense.

Just seconds after jumping out of the plane, this skydive training session took a dangerous turn.

The student skydiver - identified only as Eugene S. - started spinning as he fell to the earth.

Unable to stop the so-callled 'death spin' and right himself into the ground-facing position needed to deploy his parachute, his instructors tried for several (agonisingly long) seconds to get him unde control.

Eventually, one was able to grab hold of him and release his chute.

All three are reported to have landed safely.
