The name “Kayne” became one of the most tweeted words in the UK for a while last night, as
West headlined the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury.Glowing tributes to the “inspirational” rapper certainly fell a bit flat.
Kanye. The best artist of our generation. One time for the inspiration you keep providing! #KAYNE #GLASTO15 🌹 pic.twitter.com/AwuLPWDKAU

So cringe seeing people slag off Kayne West's performance, don't buy a ticket to the festival if the line up bothers you so much #bellends

Thank you to #Glastonbury15 and Kayne and @KimKardashian 🙌🏼 Best show! https://t.co/4B0R6TaVSA

Those criticisms ended up looking pretty hollow too, it must be said.
Kayne West seems to really divide opinion between people who don't like him, and people who are him. #Glastonbury

And of course, there were plenty of facepalm comments to go around, which ironically contributed to the number of “Kayne” references on the microblogging site, actually helping to maintaining its trending status.
I'm trending thanks Kanye 😂

The fact that Kayne is trending at number 3 on Twitter proves British people can't spell or people are tweeting from the pub

kayne is trending, is this real life?

You know something being talked about alot when it's trending, and then a few spots down, a typo of it is trending. Evidenced by Kanye/Kayne

And there was one guy who was just loving it – why, it was Kayne of course!
