Just in case anyone needed a reminder of how dangerous it is to drive when you're tired...
Kaecieo Bass and his co-worker Kevin Denney were driving down a road in Pennsylvania when they noticed the car in front of them driving erratically.
At first, they thought the driver might be drunk and Bass began recording what was happening. He later told WPXI that he was trying to see her license plate to call 911 but they couldn't get close enough to make it out.
In the video, Bass can be heard worrying that the driver might be nodding off:
“I hope they’re not falling asleep. “Please put a hand of protection on that car, father God.”
“Slow down. I don’t wanna be involved in an accident.”
Heartstopping stuff.
The video goes on to show Bass getting out of the truck to help the other drivers - who thankfully were uninjured.
Pennsylvania State Police later confirmed that the driver of the car had fallen asleep:
“She was actually coming home from working the midnight shift and was extremely tired. The two gentlemen behind her saw she was driving erratically,” said Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Stephanie Lucas.
She is to be charged with minor traffic violations.
