We can't believe it either!

SF’s McGuinness tweets support for men in orange

The World Cup has had Martin McGuinness showing his funny side recently, and he scored another hit last night with a tweet in support of a group parading around the field in orange.

The North’s Deputy First Minister was obviously watching the Dutch unexpectedly trounce reigning champion’s Spain and amazingly tweeted “C’mon the Orangemen”.

It is not something we usually would expect to hear from the Sinn Féin politician!

It was retweeted more than 1,600 times, with comments including “there’s a tweet I thought I’d never see”.

This follows on from his, also heavily retweeted, response to hilariously getting England in his office’s World Cup draw earlier this month.

If he ever tires of politics, maybe a career in stand-up awaits!!
