See the strawberry moon that lit up the night's sky for the first time in 49 years

The summer solstice was graced by a strawberry moon overnight for the first time since 1967, according to Accuweather.

Of course, if you lived in Ireland, you may have only had a small window of opportunity to see the rare event in between the clouds.

We won't get another chance to see it until 2062, but they had a good view of it in the States, Washington DC, to be exact.

In between the skyscrapers of New York...

It also graced the skies over Cleveland, Ohio.

As well as the garden views in Canada.

Any tourists at the Temple of Poseidon in Greece would have had a real treat this morning.

And, of course the revellers at Stonehenge enjoyed the view, too.

If you have any photos or video of last night's amazing view, send them on to us at desk@breakingnews.ie.
