Cristiano Ronaldo is often vilified for his on pitch antics, but this video proves he is a really nice bloke off the field.
Standing in the tunnel waiting to go out for Portugal’s World Cup Group G clash with Ghana, Ronaldo is at the front of a group of young mascots as captain of his county.
Hearing one of the little guys shout out his name, he turns and the mascot adorably looks for a hug.
Not only does Cristiano give him a massive hug, he then proceeds to give another mascot a hug too as well as fondly patting them on the head.
After being interrupted by the match officials he quickly returns to give the awe struck kids his full attention.
This comes after Argentinean superstar Lionel Messi missed a mascot trying to shake his hand only to go back and find him a few days later.
Portugal would go on to win the game 2-1, but unfortunately would exit the World Cup on goal difference to the USA.
Fair play to Ronaldo for giving these youngsters a moment they will tell their grandchildren about.
