Dublin’s Temple Bar has been taken over by a large queue of people who want to star in an Irish-based TV show.

Vikings is a Canadian TV show, filmed in Ireland, and is shown on The History Channel over there. Now they're looking for a whopping 8,000 extras for their new series.
The show issued a casting call for extras recently, asking anyone who's interested to come to Temple Bar today.
Well, it seems a lot of people want to be on TV, as the queue to get in has snaked its way right around the famous Dublin spot.

The show also plans to hold further casting calls in Dublin and Wicklow on April 1 and 7 respectively.
Vikings in the middle of season three right now. Successful applicants will be part of the filming for season four - which was given the go-ahead before this season already began.
