Paddy Power took to the streets of Dublin this morning with a controversial billboard promoting odds on the upcoming marriage equality referendum.
The ad is doing the rounds in the capital on the back of a lorry and depicts two men wearing balaclavas kissing with the phrase Tiocfaidh Ár Lá (Our day will come).
In a press release Paddy Power said: “Our latest betting on the referendum makes it look rosy in the garden for the YES camp but don’t be surprised if the NO vote comes from behind to give us all a surprise. In the words of Alex Ferguson, it’s squeaky bum time!”
The reaction on Twitter to the ad has been mixed and may be leaning towards the negative on social media.
Well that new @paddypower advert will get people talking...
