On September 27th, Makenzie and Steven Schultz were out for dinner at the Kazoku Sushi restaurant in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
And the service was terrible.
Writing on Facebook, Makenzie explained:
"Our service tonight sucked. Took 20 minutes to get water, 40 minutes for an appetizer and over an hour for our entree. People all around us were making fun of the restaurant & how bad the service was."
Yikes.
But Makenzie said the slow service was due to the restaurant being short-staffed - there was only one stressed-out server managing 12 tables plus the bar.
Watching this poor guy run around trying to keep everything together made Makenzie and her husband think of when they were both waiting tables years ago and relied on the tips to get them through.
The couple thought it was unlikely he would be getting many tips that night so they decided to do something kind and left him a $100 tip on a $66 meal.
Nice!
