Passengers on a Cathay Pacific plane bound for Bangkok, Thailand were delayed by three hours when a fellow traveller damaged the plane's interior before take-off.
The unnamed passenger, reported to be from Hong Kong, was trying to find a space to stow his luggage overhead on the new Airbus A350 and began pulling at the panels.
And despite staff telling him that there were no overhead lockers above his seat and that they would find a space for his bag, he persisted.
And ended up ripping the roof panel off.
A fellow passenger took this photo of the aftermath.
Staff were forced to escort all 300 passengers off the plane while engineers repaired the damage to the new Airbus. Three hours later, they were able to leave.
The South China Morning Post reports that the passenger who had done the damage was also allowed to board without any repercussions.
