Wexford is a town not afraid of tackling the big issues, if this recent headline is anything to go by.
The Gorey Guardian is causing an online stir after publishing a story about a local concern.
According to the newspaper 'massive' leaves falling from the trees have become a health and safety issue that requires the attention of the local councillors.
Cllr Robbie Ireton is particularly worried about the leaves due to the among of people slipping on them which is apparently 'unreal'.
Cllr Ireton said: “The leaves are also costing a fortune to sweep up and you are swimming against the bloddy time because a good breeze and you are back to square one.”
The times we live in.
