Richard Dunn is an inspiration to us all.
This lighting designer from Georgia found himself alone in an Las Vegas airport overnight and instead of letting boredom win, he decided to make a music video.
To 'All by Myself' by Celine Dion. Of course.
The hilarious video - complete with soaring aerial shot (thanks to an escalator)- was filmed solely on Richard's iPhone over the course of three hours. It has been viewed more than 2.5 million times on Vimeo since it was uploaded.
Dunn told CBC that when he found himself stranded in McCarran International Airport, he wanted to do something a bit different.
“I thought, well I don’t have enough time to go to a hotel so what do I do? I’ve got my phone and an empty movie set, lets see what trouble I can get into.”
A lot it seems. Richard killed time until the airport emptied out at 2am and, after he had selected the perfect song, the fun began.
“I’m just peeing myself laughing listening to this stuff thinking ‘you’re just tired its not that funny,’” he said.
Apparently, the airport cleaning crew were pretty blasé about the whole thing.
“I can only imagine what they see in the LV airport overnight", said Richard.
Hats off to Richard - being stuck in an airport has never looked like so much fun.
