Love-struck Dubliner on a mission to find her beautiful taxi driver

Do you know a good-looking taxi driver who lost his phone and car keys last weekend? If so, this could be love at first fare.

Dublin City FM 103.2 is on a quest to reunite a Dubliner with the love of her life - her taxi driver from Monday morning.

The charming request came to the radio station's Facebook page yesterday with the admission that it is "a little odd".

Getting into a red taxi at Connolly Station, our nameless romantic - whose identity is being kept mum by the station - started chatting to the driver. And it went really well.

"The taxi driver was BEAUTIFUL," she told the station. "We swapped stories and I want to find him and see if he would like to go for pint"

"I clocked his name on his ID badge as something like Daire, Darin or Dealglan and his surname began with B," said the mystery passenger.

"In my nerves for my meeting etc I have forgotten his name and stupidly didn't get a taxi receipt."

The passenger, for her part, was wearing a black suit with a green blouse, has dark hair, "and was telling him about my 'sore leg'".

After putting out the call on social media, a driver has been in touch with the station- and he thinks he might be the man.

"A taxi driver has been in touch with the show," the Evening Live Drive said. "He thinks he is the driver in question. He is single and was impressed by his secret admirer.

"He feels as a taxi driver it would be wrong to ask a passenger out. However, they did get on very well, and he wants to hear more."

Now, the station has asked him questions "that only he would know about their conversation". Let's hope it pans out.
