It's Good News Friday time. Yay!

It’s that time of the week again when our beloved readers share what’s made them smile this week.

Here's a selection of our favourites and the five winners are announced at the bottom.

Thanks for sharing!

Dee Furlong and Gill M Brown are happy that their little ones have got some good news.

Dee says: “After a week in Crumlin Hospital my little girl should be coming home today. Fingers crossed!” while Gill I got fantastic news regarding my daughters treatment in Temple Street, she is going to grow up to be a healthy strong little girl, her white blood count should return to normal over the coming years and her time spent in hospital from now on will be minimal.

“ A massive weight lifted off my shoulders, nothing else mattered ! I could take on the whole world today I am so happy !”

That’s great news, Dee and Gill!

And Joanne Coyle had a nice treat this morning when some “musicians came into my baby girls ward in Temple Street Hospital”. she says that it was “ a nice treat for all the babies and parents”.

And there’s a few birthdays today as well.

It’s Carolyn Delaney’s 35th birthday today and she’s “ looking forward to sitting in this evening & having a few glasses of vino.” Enjoy, Carolyn!

And Susan O Donoghue’s son is 7 years of age today so she’s getting ready for a party for him and all his friends.

Ethel Àherne writes that her and her niece “are going baking a coffee and walnut birthday cake for Granny this afternoon as it's her 81st birthday!”

And Dawn Cosgrove is also baking - only for Christmas instead of a birthday. She writes: “A small bit late for it but Christmas cake the oven. The smell has me smiling.”

Yum!

Samantha Byrne is happy as she has done all the housework and now has “the weekend free to do whatever comes along with the kids - yipeee”

Yippee, indeed!

And Lisa Ragosa is rightly proud of her good deed:

“ A friend of mine. (Single mum 2 kids) had been struggling for that last 2 month's with no washing machine. I've sourced her one today for free.”

That’s brilliant news, Lisa.

And Ruth Grogan is appreciating the simple things in life.

“The sun is shining, my daughter who is 18 weeks old today, is snoozing and I'm chillaxing with cuppa!! #mammybliss”

And our winners are...Dee Furlong, Gill M Brown, Ruth Grogan, Lisa Ragosa and Joanne Coyle! Congrats and don't forget to email desk@breakingnews.ie to claim your prizes.
