It’s Friday - the day our lovely readers share their Good News with us to be in with winning a prize.

So while the weather may be terrible, these happy folks aren’t letting it dampen their spirits.

Noreen McEvoy is happy because she’s “scrapping the diet today” because it’s her birthday. Good on ya, Noreen, enjoy your cake!

Jackie Finnegan’s good news is that her family have taken a rescue dog - we bet the dog is happy too. Just like the dog Kathleen O' Dowd-Gallagher rescued “hoping to find owner soon”.

And Sinead Ryan’s little boy had very welcome news today: “ Little man finally got ten out of ten in his spellings, massive day in my house”. Well done!

Over in Maria Dunne’s, someone made a big step today:

“My 10 month old little girl walked across the room to me #happyfriday”

How exciting is this - Aisling Mc Mahon write: “I collected my visa for my move to NYC in two weeks, dreams are coming true”. Bon voyage, Aisling!

And Christmas has come early for Sarah McGinnity - “ I may or may not Have Put Up My Christmas Tree Ok I totally did and I am not going to be ashamed of it! It's so NICE!’

There’s no shame, Sarah!

While over at Louise Mc Namara’s house, a missing pet has returned:

“My cat that was missing for 2 weeks arrived at my front door all by herself. My 5 year old nearly cried with happiness when I collected him from school and our other cat got all excited when she saw her, happiness = our lil family been complete”

Excellent news, Louise.

Both Sue Broughill Kirwan and Therese Dunne-Murray are awaiting baby news. Sue writes: My Goddaughter is in hospital having her first baby.#goodnewsfriday” while Therese says:

“Im waiting impatiently for my first grandchild to make her debut today”

Ger Massey is going out for ‘yummy’ pints later for his birthday. enjoy, Ger!

And Amanda Ni Coirc’s daughter makes her happy: “My daughter she makes me smile every day, she has such a good spirit and is never in bad form”

Now, don’t we all feel a little happier after reading those?

So hard to choose but our winners this week are… Louise McNamara, Aisling Mc Mahon, Sarah McGinnity and Sinead Ryan.

Congratulations!
