Some of Irish dancing’s biggest stars are stepping up for little Sophie Nolan.
Sophie is four years old and suffers from Cerebral Palsy which means she gets bad pains in her legs and struggles with walking.
Her family are currently campaigning to raise money for a life-changing operation in the US - they need to raise €80,000 for the surgery which will help Sophie walk unaided.
To raise awareness - and funds - for the campaign 'Step Up For Sophie', some of Irish dancing's stars are putting their best foot forward and posting videos of their best moves.
Alan Kenefick, above, lead dancer and choreographer from Prodijig - the dance troupe who won Got To Dance in 2012 - has recorded a video as has David Geaney (video below) from Celtic Steps (who you also might remember from this amazing wedding video).
They in turn have nominated other dancers so attention is set to grow.
As it says on her website, Sophie dreams of being “able to not have this pain anymore in my legs and be able to take part in all of the fun activities that my friends and cousins take part in, and not having the severe leg cramps after an active day of fun”.
The operation is called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy and is not available in Ireland. It will permanently reduce the tightness in Sophie's legs, as well as improving her balance and posture.
