Irish animator takes on Justin - Bad Boy Bieber!

If you haven't yet stumbled upon the many short animated videos made under the guise of the 'Cutbacks' YouTube channel, you're in for a treat.

"He smoked a bit of a spliff and took two Uniflu," says our hero the hedgehog of the bad-boy Canadian singing star in the news for drag racing a rented Lambo.

"Went. Off. The. Head."

The brainchild of award-winning animator David Quinn (aka D.T. Finn), the vid is the latest in the long-running series of stop-motion clips called 'Cutbacks'.

Here's David taking on revelations of massive overspend at Irish Water.

And here 's Joan and Ming talking about the Public Accounts Committee:

Based in Ballingarry, Tipperary, David is from a long line of Irish animators, his dad Jim Quin having worked on children's classics including Tongue Twisters, Faherty’s Garden and Gregory Gráinneog.

David himself also lectures in IADT Dun Laoghaire and has worked with leading Irish animation company Brown Bag.

And for no other reason than we've already mentioned Faherty's Garden, here's a trip down memory lane.

"Woof!" said Faherty.
