Spare a thought for the real heroes of the heatwave - the people that supply us with ice cream while we enjoy the sun.
Yesterday, on Downhill Beach in Derry, an ice cream van driver was clearly too focused on making sure everyone had enough 99s and lollies to notice the tide was swiftly coming up the beach behind him.
Which led to this.
A group of volunteers quickly got together to try rescue the van (and save the ice cream!) but with the water rising, their job just got harder and harder.
And despite their valiant efforts, a tractor had to be brought in to free the stuck van.
Valerie Kennedy, the ice cream van driver's wife thanked everyone on Facebook and promised it wouldn't affect ice cream distribution:
"Thank you to all the kind folk on downhill beach yesterday that helped my husband get the ice cream van out , back to business today ."
Thank goodness for that!
