A Spanish football club has reached out to help a homeless man who has been sleeping outside their stadium for eight months.
Ruban Vitoriano, who is aged 35, and his dog Mundo have been sleeping rough on the streets of San Sebastian for three years, and the pair have come to the notice of Real Sociedad who have offered him a job.
Ruban is working with the ground staff at the Anoeta Stadium, and if everything works out after two months, they will keep him on permanently.
The club's inspirational gesture has prompted Ruban to find accommodation in the side's home city, San Sebastian, and has planted a seed of hope back into his life after so much time living on the streets.
Vitoriano told Spanish newspaper Marca: "I thought they were such good people. After so much time, hope is lost."
