Vincent Browne was in Cork last night for "The People's Debate" when the thorny issue of marriage equality came up.
A member of the audience stood up to make an impassioned speech against same-sex marriage and got so riled up that he called for a ban on men and women getting married:
"We want family values, and we don’t want to see men and women getting married. And that’s the holy all of it."
The crowd began laughing which set off Vincent, as well. The poor man who made the presumable mix-up was a bit confused about everyone's reaction but when he was told of his mistake, he quickly stood up again to speak lest anyone question his "family values".
Vincent's giggles = adorable.
And there's already a remix of the incident. Which seems unnecessary.
May seems very far away...
