A father's plea to see a facebook 'Lookback' video of his dead son's posts and pictures, has been answered by the social media giant.
Jesse Berlin, 21, died of natural causes on January 28, 2012.
When facebook announced the 'Lookback' user videos - highlights from its users' posts and pictures - to celebrate its 10th anniversary, Jesse's father John saw a chance to recapture a flavour of his son's life. But he couldn't access Jesse's facebook account, and made a video appeal to facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg to allow him to see the video.
"I'm calling out to Mark Zuckerberg and facebook," he said, fighting back tears. "My son passed away and we can't access his facebook account...All we want to do is see his movie."
Now, he's heard back.
"The response is overwhelming," he says in an updated post under the original video appeal. "FB contacted us and theyre going to work on that vid...I didn't know what to expect from this but it was worth a try. (sic)
"My son was 21 and died of natural causes, his autopsy came back undetermined. He is proof that there are no guarantees in life. Hug your children kiss them. Tell them you love them every single day. Again I thank every single one of you, even the dislikes. God Bless."
