So it was no surprise when Olympic sailing medallist Annalise Murphy arrived home to mail that had been addressed to:
“Annalise Murphy
Olympic Silver Medallist
Rio Olympic 2016
Rathfarnham
Dublin 14”
The 26 year-old who won silver in Rio posted a picture of the letter to her Facebook along with her thanks to her postman, “An Post doing a fine job getting mail to me with limited info!”
All credit to the guy who delivered the letter as Murphy, in the lead up to the Games, spent a large portion of her preparation in Brazil acclimatising and getting accustomed to the conditions she would face.
She returned to Dublin on Tuesday night to a rapturous welcome and her Olympic success is bound to see more mail arrive at her doorstep.
