British police had no nice words to say about this driver who put himself and train passengers in danger by crashing through the barriers at a level crossing - backwards.
A yellow Reliant Robin – the famous three-wheeled British car – sped through the closing barriers and across the train tracks - before the driver apparently changed his mind, reversing through the closed barriers, causing thousands in damage, and getting stranded in the danger zone.
"Level crossings: Don't be a plonker" the official Facebook page of the British Transport Police commented when posting the video.
Police say the "plonkers" risked their lives and the lives of others, as well as damaging the barriers at a cost of up to £15,000 (€21,000).
The incident happened in Derbyshire on Sunday June 21. Police are searching for the vehicle and appealing for anyone who recognises the distinctive car to contact them.
"They were very lucky that a train was not coming through at the time or the consequences would be unthinkable," a spokesperson said.
