Dog survives being covered in tar thanks to rescue workers

Looking at this awful photo of a poor dog in India who had fallen into hot tar, you would be forgiven for thinking that his story ends very badly.

But thanks to some amazing charity workers, the story (thankfully) doesn't end here.

When a passerby found him, the dog was stuck to the ground after falling into a vat of hot tar. He was unable to move as the tar had turned completely solid.

The team from Animal Aid Unlimited were contacted and after two days and three hours of massaging vegetable oil into his skin, they finally managed to remove all the thick layer of tar.

And now look at him go! Well done all round.
