A dog set for national stardom has gone missing and is feared stolen by his owners.
18-month-old golden retriever Sadie, who is to feature in the upcoming RTE series 'Pet Surgeons', was locked in safe and secure in her owner's garden when she suddenly disappeared and could not be found on Sunday evening.
Sadie is neutered and microchipped and the garden is described as being very secure.
Her collar was left on the front gate and Gardaí believe the animal may have been taken by someone looking for a ransom or reward.
Sadie and her owner Catherine Cuddy, both feature in the RTE series 'Pet Surgeons' as patient and vet at the Gilabbey Veterinary practice in Togher, Cork which airs on 6 September.
Catherine Cuddy and her husband Cathal O'Shea are both very anxious to have their much-loved dog back home and have offered a reward to anyone who can help them find their pet pooch.
Anyone who has seen Sadie or knows anything about her disappearance is urged to contact Cathal or Catherine on 087-8166935 or 087-2167994.
