Cavan kid in valiant effort to blag Toy Show gig
"I have a dream," thought 11-year-old Fergal Smith from Cavan some time back (probably).
"And that dream is to co-host the Late Late Toy Show."
So the enterprising lad took it upon himself to pen an email to Ryan Tubridy, which the Tubmeister read out on his 2FM radio show this morning.
And the key to Fergal's plea? The tearjerker detail that he thinks will swing it for him?
"Middle Child Syndrome"
While Tubs did said Fergal needed to be "met and congratulated", he ultimately turned the lad down, saying all the children taking part in this year's show have already been picked.
Fergal's mother Mairead, who also came on the show, said her son was a 'monkey' who had written the mail without her knowledge.
