BBC presenter forgets his iPad, pretends to use it anyway (again)

This is eight seconds of pure brilliance.

On BBC's Sportsday programme today, presenter Chris Mitchell wishes the audience goodbye, and then, in usual "look busy" fashion, starts tapping away on his tablet.

Only … he forgot to pick it up. Oh well, he won't let that stop him…

You can almost hear the thought process: "oh no! What do I do with my hands! It’s live TV, play it cool PLAY IT COOL…"

Sadly, Mitchell is not the first victim of BBC's use-your-tablet-when-standing approach to TV.

Back in September 2013, BBC News presenter Simon McCoy picked up a ream of photocopy paper sitting next to his iPad. Since it was live news, he just went with it - delivering a news report competently while holding a stack of paper for no good reason.
