There are just two weeks to go until the 2014 World Cup kicks off in Brazil - but not everyone is cheerleading the tournament.
Street graffiti has been popping up all over Brazil protesting against what many Brazilians see as excessive spending at a time when large parts of the country are underdeveloped and many still live in poverty.
While most of the criticism has been directed at the Brazilian government, Fifa has also come under fire. These images of graffiti, uploaded to Reddit, capture some of the ill feelings about the tournament which starts on June 12.
There have been widespread protests in the last few months, with the latest happening just a few days ago in the capital, Brasilia. Many of the protestors believe some of the billions poured into the World Cup should have gone on vital public services such as education, sanitation and hospitals.
Construction of most of the 12 World Cup stadiums has been late and over budget, while seven construction workers have died in accidents at World Cup venues.
While many have criticised his support for the tournament, Brazil legend Pelé has come out in recent days and said the situation in his homeland is "a disgrace". He blames corruption for the delays in finishing the stadiums.
However, he distanced himself from the protestors, saying it is too late to do anything about it now.
"People should have demonstrated when Brazil was chosen to organise the World Cup and not now that the World Cup is very soon," he said.
While Pelé is correct that the World Cup will go ahead regardless, it's safe to say we haven't seen the end of many Brazilians' anger at their government and their contempt for Fifa.
